Father Son • father will you call my name • you gave me weight in life • I will not fail • find myself alone today • you didn’t see the signs • you didn’t try to understand • you didn’t take the time • father call my name • turn around • see what I am • we still can change • I do not see you often but• I see you every day • I’ve grown away • time matters not • nor pain • no death • nor fate as hard as stone • this truth needs but a single breath • and that we now have known • father call my name • turn around • see what I am • we still can change
With its debut album, this young band from Vienna follows the footsteps of honorable Austrian prog masters like "Matter Of Taste". The music on this concept album is not of the kind I'd call particularly innovative - it travels pretty much on well known roads paved by many others long ago. However, these youngsters do it in a highly pleasant way, skillfully avoiding the pitfalls of pseudo-progressive phrase rehashing most of the time - certainly more successfully so than several of their experienced grand paragons of prog. Silk est donc un album d’excellente qualité dans son exécution: les musiciens sont compétents et la production de haut niveau. S’il ne pas touché personnellement, je vous recommande néanmoins d’y jeter une oreille. Stéphane Gallay
